Uttarakhand is a land of the hills. The entire landscape of Uttarakhand is surrounded by snow covered mountains, high peaks, glistening rivers and beautiful valleys of flowers. We will take u through a tour of the different hill stations located here and the reasons for you to visit them. The most important and the holiest is Badrinath, home to one of the biggest temples in India. Situated at an altitude of 3,133 meters, it is burrowed between the twin mountains Nar and Narayan and the river Alakananda drifts alongside the banks.

Almora hill station is famous for its snow covered mountains and forests of fir and pine trees. Another hill station, Mukteshwar, is famous for its view of the snow capped mountains and the pleasant weather all year around. After landing in Chamba, the first thing one perceives are the deodar trees and the herds of goats. Lying at an altitude of 1524 meters, it is a beautiful town with snow covered cliffs and winding roads.

Nainital, a scenic land, is placed at an altitude of 1,938 meters and is famous for its colorful fairs and festivals. Some of the major attractions here are the Naini Lake, Naina Peak, Snow View, St. John Church and a small picturesque town called Sat Tal. Another important destination is Chamoli, a land of temples, which are mostly dedicated to Lord Shiva. Some of the other places one can visit while in Uttarakhand are Bageshwar, Bhogali, Chamba, Harsil, Pauri, Ramgarh, Ranikhet, Bhimtal and Rudraprayag.
